The election of Trustees is your opportunity to influence the future of Rotorua Trust—whether by standing for election, casting your vote, or both.
Trustees are responsible for making funding decisions, guiding investment policy, and advocating for positive outcomes in our region. Voting will be easy, with options to vote online, by post, or by hand delivery to the Trust office. To participate, please ensure your details are up to date with the Electoral Commission.
At Rotorua Trust, our small team collaborates with Trustees to understand our community’s needs, listen, and respond with integrity. In November 2025 our community will have a voice in shaping the future of the Trust.
In 2024, Rotorua Trust celebrated its 30th anniversary. It was established in 1994 from the sale of Rotorua Electricity Limited, with an initial capital of $32 million. Since then, the Trust’s investment portfolio has grown to over $165 million. The financial returns on its investments allow for grants across the Trust’s five strategic priorities: Healthy Families, Strengthening Communities, Education, Environment and Vibrancy.
The Rotorua Trust board upholds professional and proactive governance, acknowledging our past, strengthening our present, and empowering future generations, as the Trust exists into perpetuity.
