      Tipu Wai is bringing people together to restore Rotorua’s waterways and native ecosystems, with volunteers planting thousands of locally sourced native seedlings at sites including 8 Mile Gate and Hemo Gorge. Supported by Rotorua Trust, this community led mahi is helping protect our natural environment for generations to come.

        Rangatahi were at the heart of the opening of Te Puna Ariki’s new community facility, a milestone made possible through the collective efforts of funders, volunteers and supporters. The new space will support the wellbeing, leadership and future aspirations of tamariki and rangatahi, strengthening connections and opportunities across our community.

          The NZ Māori Tennis Tournament celebrated its 99th year in Rotorua, bringing together more than 200 participants across generations to honour a proud sporting legacy. Supported by Rotorua Trust, the tournament celebrated sport, culture and community while recognising the enduring contribution of Māori tennis to Aotearoa.
