Rotorua Youth Centre Trust

An initiative led by the Rotorua Youth Centre Trust is helping locals download their vaccine passes thanks to funding from Rotorua Trust.

Rotorua Trust granted Rotorua Community Youth Centre up to $15,000 at the beginning of November.

Some of this funding is being used to support three facilitators from the Rotorua Community Youth Centre’s Mates and Dates programme to help anyone having difficulty with downloading their vaccine pass at the Rotorua Vaccination Hub. The team assist with downloading passes to people’s phones or printing them out.

People of all ages, from 12 years through to seniors, are utilising the free assistance.

Rotorua Community Youth Trust CEO Jen Murray says being able to access your COVID-19 pass is essential now that it has become mandatory to use when entering a range of businesses and venues across the country.

“Not everyone has the technology or the knowledge to access their pass. The value of the support our team is providing is reflected in the positive support they have received. “

The initiative began on 2 December and will continue until 8 January.
