The annual Rotorua Community Leadership Awards will be conferred at the start of Leadership Week on 5 July. The awards will be presented by Mayor Kevin Winters. The Rotorua Trust, Rotorua, Daily Post, More FM, TV Rotorua Chamber of Commerce and Rotorua District Council promote the awards as part of Sir Blake Leadership Week which runs from 5 July to 12 July this year.
The seven categories for outstanding leadership dedication are sport, youth, iwi, business, community service, the arts and the environment. The awards recognise Sir Peter Blake’s life, as a yachtsman, adventurer, leader and guardian of the environment, was tragically cut short on 5 December 2001.
