How to Apply for Funding: Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to create your account and start your Rotorua Trust grant application:

Step 1: Visit the Grants Portal

Click the “Grants” button on the Rotorua Trust website to learn more about our funding priorities and eligibility.
Or go directly to the Grants Portal to create your account.

Step 2: Create Your Account

1. Click ‘Login to Grants Portal’.
2. Select ‘Create account’ to begin setting up your GrantsConnect account.
3. Choose how you’d like to sign in:
   • Continue with Email (recommended), or
   • Use Google or Apple if your email matches an existing GrantsConnect account.
4. Enter your email address and click Continue.
5. You’ll receive a confirmation code from noreply@blackbaud.com.
   • Open your inbox in a new tab and enter the code on the sign-up page.
6. After verifying your email, enter your name and create a secure password.
7. Click Sign Up to complete your account setup.

Step 3: Return to the Rotorua Trust Website

Once your account is created and verified, return to the Rotorua Trust website ‘Grants‘ page to access the application form.

Step 4: Start a New Application

1. Click ‘Start New Application’.
2. On the Select Your Organisation screen:
   • Search for your organisation.
   • If it doesn’t appear, click ‘Add Organisation’ and complete the registration form.

Step 5: Complete and Submit Your Application

• Fill in all required fields (marked with a red asterisk *).
• You can use the templates provided on this resources page to assist you.
• Your progress is saved automatically—you can return later to complete and submit.
