Nominations open this week (Friday, 16 August 2013) for the election of six trustees to the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust.
Established in 1994, the Trust’s mission is to ‘manage and enhance the assets held in trust and distribute income for the long term benefit of the Rotorua District community’.
To be eligible for nomination, a candidate for the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust must be a local authority resident or non‐resident ratepayer elector within the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust district. (In addition, there are other candidate criteria which can be checked on the nomination paper). Nomination papers will be available from Friday 16 August 2013:
- from the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust office, 1358 Eruera Street, Rotorua
- by phoning 0800 922 822 to have one posted out
- by accessing www.rotoruatrust.org.nz where one can be downloaded.
Nominations must be received by noon on Friday 13 September 2013. If more than six nominations are received, the election begins with the mailing of voting documents to electors from Friday 18 October 2013.
Completed voting documents must be returned to the electoral officer by the close of voting at noon on Saturday 9 November 2013, and the preliminary results will be available later that afternoon.
