Once every three years, community groups which meet the below criteria are eligible to apply for support of their operating costs over a three year period. This funding is available in addition to the Trust’s regular project/programme-focused grants.
The majority of grants for operating costs fall within the $2,000 – $5,000 per annum range and can be applied to a range of expense items, including rent, insurance, honorariums, electricity, lease equipment and other costs incurred in the delivery of community outcomes.
To be eligible for funding towards operating costs for the 2019-2022 period, applicant organisations must meet all of the below criteria:
- Be based in Rotorua;
- Provide a service to the Rotorua community, particularly in areas that are consistent with the Trust’s priority funding targets (Health and the First 1000 Days of a Child’s Life, Education and Employment Opportunities, Vibrancy, Environment and Renewable Energy and Strengthening our Communities).
- Be registered with the Charities Commission;
- Have been in operation at least two years;
- Be able to demonstrate strong governance and a track record of making a positive difference
Applications for the period from April, 2019, through to March, 2022, will be open until November 9, 2018.
